We tell you how to find all copies of relics using search compasses.
The Triumph of the Mind event is the main event of Patch 3.6 in Genshin Impact, and it includes several exciting quests. Each of these missions contains a number of challenges that offer valuable rewards, including Source Stones, Instructions, Morata, and many other resources. After completing all the quests from this event, you will receive a free character as a reward - Faruzan. Various tasks in the Triumph of the Mind event are divided into several stages that open once a day, so new interesting challenges await players every day.
One of the new quests is "Archaeological excavations". As part of this quest, the Travelers will have to go to a certain location in Sumeru in order to find several copies of relics using search compasses. This guide will show you how to properly use the search compasses and help you get through the first stage of this quest in order to get a starting portion of rewards.
How to use search compasses in Genshin Impact
After you complete the Triumph of the Mind initial quest and the mandatory short quest, you will receive a search compass, a temporarily added tool required for the Archaeological Dig mission. To use the compass, you need to equip it from your inventory and follow the quest marker to the specified area. In the desired location, you can place up to three compasses at a time using the Z key. If you place a fourth, it will replace the first installed compass.
After placing the compass, it will show the relic footprint density as a percentage. The higher the number, the closer you are to the desired artifact. However, it should be borne in mind that in locations there may be various opponents or elemental forces that cause interference in the compass readings. It is recommended to place compasses close to each other in order to figure out in which direction you need to move in order to find a copy of the relic. As soon as the density of the tracks exceeds 90%, a yellow marker will appear right in front of you, which you will need to interact with in order to unearth the desired artifact.
Where to Find All Relics in Archaeological Site I in Genshin Impact
At the first stage of the quest, you will need to find two copies of the relics located in the northern part of Mount Devantaka. The first artifact is located closer to the southern border of the designated area. To find this copy of the relic, you need to get to the Electro Crystals and destroy them using the character's Pyro skills.
After that, use the search compasses again to establish the exact location of the first copy of the relic (it is indicated in the screenshot below).
The second relic can be found in the northern part of the marked area. Once you reach this area, you'll have to fight a small squad of mushrooms that are interfering with the compasses.
After defeating the opponents, use the search compasses again to find a second copy of the relic in the north of the designated area, namely near the teleport at ground level.
After completing the first stage of the Archaeological Excavations quest, you will receive a good set of rewards, which include 300 source stones, 100 festival excitement points, as well as various resources for leveling characters like talent books and hero experience.
