The garbage terminal puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake is noticeably more difficult than the previous ones. We tell you how to solve it.
The computer terminal puzzles are arguably the most difficult in the entire story campaign of Resident Evil 4 Remake. For example, in Chapter 14, when Leon and Ashley need to get to the top, you have to quickly solve one of these puzzles while the enemies try to drag Ashley off.
Similar situations arose in Chapter 13, where we had to solve puzzles with computer terminals, while fighting off the regenerators walking along the corridors of the laboratory. However, the recycling puzzle is noticeably more difficult than the previous ones, especially if you are playing the game on the Professional difficulty level.
How to turn on the computer in the trash in Resident Evil 4 Remake
After you defeat the regenerators near the sewers, you will enter the garbage processing area. The way further is blocked by a locked door, which must be opened using the electronic lock terminal. This computer terminal must first be turned on, but this is not so easy.
Approach the nearest valve and order Ashley to turn it. This valve is responsible for raising the bridge, along which you can cross to the other side of the location, in order to then reach the switch lever, which is located on the other side of the grate.
Before you switch the lever, look around the area around you - you will find green grass and several barrels and boxes, inside of which ammo and gold are hidden. After collecting all the loot, equip the Stingray Sniper Rifle, one of the best weapons in Resident Evil 4 Remake. This preparation will save you a lot of time and nerves, because the moment you turn the lever to redirect power to the electronic lock terminal, the light will immediately go out, the regenerator will attack you, and several opponents will run up to Ashley.
Flip the switch lever, and then quickly run back to the bridge where Ashley is standing, shooting at the enemies who are trying to grab her along the way. If you hesitate, then the opponents will drag Ashley away from the valve, because of which you will not be able to cross the bridge to her and will be left alone with the regenerator. At the same time, you will still need to protect the girl from a squad of enemies. However, if you manage to get across the bridge, then the battle with the regenerator can be avoided.
How to solve the garbage disposal terminal puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake
After clearing the location from opponents, go to the running terminal of the electronic lock. The principle of this puzzle is no different from what you saw during the passage of Chapter 13. You also need to direct the flow of energy from the outer lines to the center of the screen.
On the easy difficulty mode, it is enough to connect four lines (the counter can be seen in the upper right part of the computer screen), and the solution to the puzzle can be seen in the screenshot above. However, if you are playing the game on Professional difficulty, you will need to connect six lines to open the electronic lock.
Once you've built a power supply route, slide the button on the terminal panel to the right to open the door and move on. In the next corridor, a few more opponents await you, after the battle with which you will reach the Trader's hideout, where you can buy new weapon upgrades and save the game on a typewriter.
