Navigation compass 1, 2, 3 in Honkai Star Rail: how to get through and solve puzzles

The navigational compass challenge can be found at Cloud Ferry in Lofu Xianzhou by talking to Kai. We'll show you how to solve them all.

Exploring the game world is a pretty important gameplay part of Honkai: Star Rail as it is one of the most reliable ways to earn Star Jades. Each region in the game is divided into several large locations available for exploration, and in all these locations you can find something interesting.

All chests hidden in a particular location are marked on the map, and some of them can be obtained by completing various challenges. For example, one such challenge is the navigational compass puzzles, which can be triggered by talking to Kai. This test is divided into three parts, and you need to pass it within three days.

Where to Find Kai's Navigating Compass Riddles in Honkai Star Rail

To unlock this challenge, you'll have to progress a lot in the story, as it's located in the third major region of the game, Lofu Xianzhou. Before that, you must complete all the main quests on the space station "Gerta" and on the planet Yarilo-VI. Once in the third region, go through several starting missions of Exploration.

After that, you will be taken to the location Cloud crossing. This area contains two ports located on the left side of the location. You need to get to the lower port, on the territory of which you can see a special puzzle icon on the map.

How to start Kai's navigational compass puzzle in Honkai Star Rail

After reaching the desired point, talk to Kai. It turns out that he needs a reliable assistant who can direct cargo skiffs to this port, since he himself is too busy with other duties. There are 12 puzzles ahead of you, divided into 3 days - so you will need to solve 4 puzzles per day. All solutions are listed below:

On the first day, you will need to solve 4 puzzles with Kai's navigational compass in Cloud Ferry.

When the smallest circle is highlighted rotate it twice to put it in the correct position. Next, rotate the center circle twice and the largest circle once to solve the puzzle.

As a reward, you will receive a Regular Chest.

First rotate the small circle twice to put it in the right position. Switch between the circles to highlight the middle and large circles, then rotate each of them once. Switch between the circles again to highlight only the big circle, and then rotate it once. Defeat a soldier stricken by Mara.

At the end, you will receive a Valuable Chest.

First, rotate the small circle three times to bring it into position. Next, switch between the circles and rotate them once so that the middle and large circles are highlighted. After that, the middle circle will be in the desired position. Finally, switch between the circles once more and rotate the big circle twice to solve the puzzle.

For solving the third riddle, pioneers will receive a Common Chest.

Then alternate between the small and medium circles and rotate them until they are in the right position. Talk to the people inside the star skiff.

On the second day, take the ferry and start completing four more riddles with Kai's compass.

First, switch between the circles so that the big and small circles are highlighted. After that, the small circle will be in the right position. Switch between the circles again to highlight the middle and large circles. After that, turn them five times to solve the puzzle. Talk to the fungizontik inside the cargo skiff.

For solving the first puzzle, you will receive a Common Chest.

At the end, take the rewards from the Common Chest.

When the small and large circles are highlighted, rotate them once. Finally, rotate the small circle once so that it is in the right position. After that, the puzzle will be solved. Talk to the girl inside the star skiff to get a unique code.

This code will then need to be given to Ziqiao in exchange for a reward, the location of which is indicated below.

For solving the last compass puzzle on the fourth day, you will be rewarded with a Luxury Chest.

Unfortunately, there will be no rewards for first solvers of the puzzle.

Solving the second puzzle will give players two regular chests.

Defeat the opponents who are waiting for you inside the cargo skiff.

At the end, take the rewards from the Valuable Chest.

Next, you will need to find Yujin to take things from her and give them to the person inside the star skiff. Its location is listed below.

For solving the last puzzle, you will receive a Luxury Chest.

Where to find Ziqiao in Honkai Star Rail

On the second day of the navigational compass challenge, you will need to find Ziqiao. Go to the Central Harbor of the Star Skiff Orphanage in Lofu Xianzhou. Teleport to the Dimensional Anchor located at the top right of this location, and then head down the stairs to find Ziqiao.

Once you're at the bottom, go left until you see a Ziqiao. Talk to her and tell her that you need to pick up something. You will have to pay 1000 credits for a package containing 1000 credits and only 10 arrows.

Note: arrows are a special currency used in Lofu Xianzhou shops; with its help you can purchase various materials, items and recipes. After spending a certain amount of arrows, you can get additional rewards, including Star Passes and Star Jades.

Where to find Yujing in Honkai: Star Rail

After solving the last puzzle with the navigational compass, you will not be able to open the cargo skiff. As soon as you approach the door, a conversation will start with the person sitting inside. He will ask you to collect his clothes from Yujing, which can be found in the Central Harbor of the Star Skiff Orphanage in Lofu Xianzhou.

This time you will need to teleport to the spatial anchor in the south of the location, and then follow south. Yujing can be found in front of a closed shop in the area, and after a short conversation, she will agree to give you the clothes you need for free. Take the clothes to the star skiff to get a luxurious chest as a reward.

Note: Completing these puzzles will earn you the "A Drop in the Ocean" achievement. It only becomes available after you open the last chest in the Navigation Compass challenge.
