The balance level in Honkai : Star Rail is your world level. This affects how difficult or powerful your enemies are, and also affects the rarity and power of their drops. Your balance level will also determine how far you can level up your characters, relics, and light cones. This is a big deal.

How to increase the level of balance in Honkai Star Rail?
You can increase your balance level in Honkai: Star Rail by completing a balance challenge. To be eligible to try the trial, you must first reach a certain level of pioneer.
Equilibrium levels in Honkai: Star Rail and their pioneer level requirements
- Equilibrium Level 1: Trailblazer, Level 20
- Equilibrium Level 2: Trailblazer, Level 30
- Equilibrium Level 3: Trailblazer, Level 40
- Equilibrium Level 4: Trailblazer Level 50
- Equilibrium Level 5: Trailblazer, Level 60
- Equilibrium Level 6: Trailblazer, Level 65
As soon as you reach the required level of the Pathfinder, a new quest "Test of Balance" will appear. What is there, you ask? Mighty monsters are meant to test your skills and decide if you deserve to rise to a higher level of Balance.
If you fail the "Test of Balance" quest, you can replay it. If you keep failing... maybe it's time to upgrade your light cones, relics, or choose the best party lineup!
Higher Equilibrium also improves rewards in various challenge areas in Honkai: Star Rail, such as Stagnant Shadows, Echoes of War, and Caverns of Corrosion.
How to check progress in Honkai: Star Rail?
You can track your progress as a Pathfinder in your Travel Log. For certain milestones, you will receive a reward, usually 10 Star Passes!
