Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG from HoYoverse, the studio behind Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact. It is a spin-off of the main series and takes place after the events of the standalone expansion A Post-Honkai Odyssey. Set eight years after the finale of Honkai Impact 3rd, this expansion's story follows Qiyana as she creates a sanctuary on the moon for most of the heroes before the remnants of humanity are attacked by a race of aliens known as the Sky People.
The main plot of Honkai: Star Rail is about the war against the Sky People. We play as a Pathfinder traveling through space on a giant Starlight Express train. We have to explore different worlds and space stations in order to confront the Sky People and try to protect as many planets and factions as possible from this formidable enemy.
There are currently 21 playable characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Some of them can be unlocked through story quests, while others can only be obtained through the local gacha system. Each character follows one of the seven paths and has the appropriate moves, as well as one of several elements.

Arlan
Arlan is the head of the security department of the Hertha space station. He does not understand anything in scientific research, but is ready to sacrifice his life to protect the station's employees, for whom these studies mean a lot.
He has a dog named Pippi, whom Arlan adores and always takes with him on all assignments. He is not afraid of pain and wears his scars with dignity, as they prove that he does his job well and protects the station's employees.

This energetic young girl approaches all tasks with effortless confidence, completing them with ease and her usual calmness.

Bailu
Bailu is a young Vidyadhara girl with the gift of healing. She is called the Lady Healer due to her skills in medicine. Her treatments are unorthodox, and she sometimes advises her patients to drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, and read books to help them identify poisonous foods.
Despite his medical talents, Bailu cannot look at how people suffer, and therefore often treats patients with his eyes closed. Apparently it hasn't hurt anyone yet.

Armor
Bronya is the successor of the Supreme Guardian of Belobog and the commander of the Silver-Mane Guards. Armor had harsh teachers and received a good education. Now she is a girl with graceful manners, worthy of her position.
But the terrible conditions in which the inhabitants of the Underdark exist planted a seed of doubt in the heart of the future ruler. She doubts that the knowledge she has gained will help lead people to a better life.

Clara
Clara was orphaned at an early age, which forced the shy young girl to join self-serving miners in order to survive, although she wanted more than anything to find a real family. One day, she accidentally activated a sleeping relic of a past civilization - the robot Svarog, who later replaced her parents.
Shortly thereafter, the prospectors united under the leadership of Svarog. Clara herself became almost a legend: the girl in the red hood was valued for her ability to find rare relics and extract them from dangerous places. She is often called the Bloody Rabbit, and other miners are afraid to cross her path.

Dan Heng
Dan Heng is a guard on the Starlight Express. The reserved young man may seem cold, but his closed nature is clearly connected to events from his past. March 7
March 7 is an energetic and quirky young woman who joins the Star Express after being rescued from the permafrost. She joined their interstellar journey and has kept a camera handy ever since to capture all the memorable events.
She still does not know anything about her past life and does not even remember her name, so she decided to name herself after the date of her salvation.

Natasha
Natasha is a doctor from the Underdark, where both smart doctors and medical resources are sorely lacking. All the locals respect and love her, and Natasha herself always greets them with a smile.
She plays the role of guardian for all the local children as a guardian, and while she seems kind and caring, Natasha also has a dark side. Even the restless Hook is always polite to her and respectfully calls her Aunt Natasha.

Pela, aka Pelageya Sergeevna, is an intelligence officer from the Silvermane Guardians. This is a serious and meticulous young girl who in any situation remains calm and sober. Almost everyone who works with her admires her ability to solve problems.
Her serious and confident nature contrasts with her phone case, which hints that Pela still sometimes gives vent to feelings, although she hides it well.

qingque

Serval
Serval Landau is the eldest daughter in the family, who has a rebellious and freedom-loving character. Her brother is serious and sincere, while Serval amazes those around him with his unpredictability.

Tingyun is the head representative of the Whistling Flame Trade Guild. She has the ability to enchant anyone with her words, making the Xianzhou Trade Fairs famous throughout the galaxy.
This eloquent girl from the fox people avoids conflicts whenever possible and tries to explain her point of view to her opponent. This approach allowed her to ensure that the Whistling Flame Guild received official approval from the Flight Commission.

Pioneer
The Pioneer is the main character of the game. He wakes up on the Hertha space station with no memory of his past. It can enter either the body of a woman (Stella) or the body of a man (Kelus). There is no difference between them, except for their appearance.

Welt
Velt is no stranger to conflict, having saved the Earth from destruction more than once. The former ruler of Anti-Entropy first appeared in Honkai Impact 3rd, after the events of which he left Earth due to an alien invasion to try to save other planets from a similar fate.
