Comprehensive Divination is a challenge with a series of puzzles that must be completed over three days.
As you progress through the main story in different regions in Honkai: Star Rail, you will gradually unlock new locations in these regions. In each of these locations, a certain number of chests are hidden, some of which become available only after solving puzzles.
For example, at the Divination Commission in Lofu Xianzhou, you will have a test called Comprehensive Divination, which must be completed within three days. The reward for solving all the puzzles in this challenge will be Common, Valuable and Luxurious Treasure Chests

How to Start Comprehensive Divination in Honkai Star Rail
This test is located in the lower right corner of the Divination Commission - a location that will open during the passage of the main quest Lofu Xianzhou. The test is marked with a special puzzle icon. Once you get to the right place, talk to Huixing to begin the challenge.
It will lead you to the Foresight Matrix, in front of which is a slab with an emblem on the floor. Interact with the stove to trigger a puzzle. After that, you will see a certain figure on the screen in front of you and some crystals on the ground. You need to move these crystals in such a way as to recreate the figure shown on the screen.
Tip: you can swap the crystals and move them to the freed points at any time during the puzzle.
In this guide, all the crystals will be numbered for convenience, and the direction of their movement will be explained using the cardinal points (north, south, west, east). This will help to quickly explain at what point each of the crystals in the puzzle should end up.
Comprehensive Prediction 1
The pioneers must solve 3 puzzles from Huixing on the first day.
Base Terminal 1
Since this is the first set of puzzles in a long chain, it's quite simple, as its main purpose is to allow us to get comfortable with this mechanic. Below is the solution to all the puzzles that await you on the first day of the Comprehensive Divination challenge:
- Pick up the crystal at number 1 and place it in the northwest slot. It is located to the left of the emblem slab with which you activated the puzzle.
- Next, pick up the crystal at number 2 and place it in the western slot. This slot is to the left of the one you inserted Crystal 1 into.
- After that, you will receive a regular chest, and then you will be transferred to the starting location.
Base Terminal 2
Next, talk to Huixing to move on to the next puzzle. Here you will need to swap three crystals:
- Pick up crystal number 1 and place it in the slot containing crystal 3. Keep in mind that when you approach an already occupied slot with a crystal in hand, the game will prompt you to swap the crystals.
- Next, take crystal 3 and place it in the slot of crystal 2. Now all that remains is to take crystal 2 and bring it to the slot in which crystal 1 originally stood. This puzzle will come to an end.
Base Terminal 3
The last puzzle that you will face on the first day should not cause too much trouble either. You can solve it with the following method:
- Pick up crystal 1 and place it in the northwest empty slot. It is located to the left of the plate with the emblem, with which you activated the puzzle.
- Next, take crystal 2 and place it in the northeast slot. It is located to the right of the plate with the emblem.
After solving all the puzzles of the first day, you will receive a valuable chest, and Huixing will ask you to return the next day. The puzzle icon will temporarily disappear from the map, but after a server restart it should reappear (this will happen at 00:00). Talk to Huixing again to begin the second part of the challenge.
Comprehensive Prediction 2
On Day 2, the trailblazers will receive 3 more puzzles from Huixing where the base terminal needs to be adjusted to fit the specified shape.
Base Terminal 1
On the second day, the difficulty of the puzzles will increase dramatically. It will be easy enough to get lost in them, so follow the instructions carefully to solve each one. The procedure for solving the first puzzle is described below:
- Pick up crystal 1 and swap it with crystal 3, which is in the northeast part of the field. After that, you will have crystal 3 in your hands.
- Next, place crystal 3 in the slot containing crystal 4. It is located in the western part of the field.
- After that, take crystal 4 to the empty slot in the southeastern part of the field. It is located at the very bottom of the platform, namely on its right side.
- Finally, pick up crystal 2 and place it in the empty slot in the southwest area. It should be to the left of crystal 4.
For solving the first puzzle of the second day, you will receive a valuable chest. The next chest can be earned by completing two additional puzzles.
Base Terminal 2
The second puzzle of the second day may seem simple enough, but this is the most difficult task in the entire "Comprehensive Divination" challenge. Follow the instructions below to correctly arrange all the crystals and get the desired image:
- First of all, take crystal 1 and place it in the slot where crystal 3 is located. It is located in the northwestern part of the field.
- You will have crystal 3 in your hand. Take it to the slot containing crystal 2 - it is located in the northeastern part of the platform, to the right of the emblem plate with which you activated the puzzle.
- Next, place crystal 2 in the empty slot in the southeast part of the platform. This slot is directly below the slot where crystal 1 was originally placed.
- Then take crystal 5 and place it in the slot containing crystal 4 (to the left of crystal 5). It is located in the western part of the platform.
- Finally, place crystal 4 in the southwest slot that is at the bottom of the platform.
Tip: if you make any mistakes while solving the puzzle, you can return the crystals to their original position by interacting with the slab with which you activated the puzzle.
Base Terminal 3
After that, you will have to solve the last puzzle of the second day:
- First, take crystal 1 and place it in the slot in the southwestern part of the field (on the lower left side of the platform).
- Next, pick up crystal 2 and place it in the slot in the southeastern part of the field (to the right of the point where crystal 1 now stands).
- Finally, swap crystals 3 and 4 to get the right shape and solve the puzzle.
As a reward for completing all three puzzles of the second day, you will receive a luxurious chest, which contains 2 four-star relics, 30 star jade and other items.
Comprehensive Prediction 3
On the third day, you need to pass three more tests and solve puzzles from Huixing with terminal adjustment.
Base Terminal 1
On the third day, you will again have to complete three puzzles. To solve the first one, you will need to do the following:
- First, swap crystals 2 and 4. This way, crystal 2 should be in the slot on the east side of the platform, and crystal 4 should be in the slot to the right of the plate with the emblem that triggers the puzzle.
- Next, pick up crystal 1 and place it in the slot in the southwestern part of the field (bottom left of the platform).
- Now take crystal 3 and place it in the southeast slot (to the right of where you placed crystal 1).
As a reward, you will receive a valuable chest. After that, you need to approach the Prediction Matrix and talk to Huixing to trigger the remaining puzzles.
Base Terminal 2
To solve the second puzzle of the last day, follow these steps:
- Pick up crystal 1 and place it in the right slot at the bottom of the field. It is located in the southeastern part of the platform.
- Next, take crystal 2, from which there are three beams, and place it in the empty slot in the middle of the platform.
- After that, take crystal 3 and put it in the slot where crystal 2 was before.
- Finally, take crystal 4 and place it in the slot where crystal 1 originally stood.
Base Terminal 3
You only have one puzzle left to complete in the Comprehensive Divination challenge. You can find her solution below:
- First, take crystal 1 and place it in the slot to the right of the emblem plate at the top of the platform.
- Next, pick up crystal 2 and place it in place of crystal 3.
- After that, take crystal 3 to the slot where crystal 4 is. After picking up crystal 4, place it in the slot to the left of the plate with the emblem.
