Mutual Defense in Genshin Impact: how to get the achievement

Mutual Defense in Genshin Impact is an achievement that can be unlocked by fighting one of the weekly bosses. To unlock the achievement, you need to fulfill special conditions in the second phase of the battle. The actions are rather obscure, which is why some players miss the achievement and lose free source stones.

In this guide, we will figure out where the desired boss is located, what is required to unlock the achievement, how to do it, and what reward you can get.

How to complete the Mutual Defense achievement in Genshin Impact

First we get to the desired boss - Scaramucci (Seki no Kami after the first win). The dungeon is located near the capital of the Dendro region. We head to the place indicated in the screenshot and start the boss fight. 

We start attacking the boss until his health drops enough and the second phase of the boss fight begins. The achievement must be unlocked during this stage. We wait until the enemy uses his special skill, during which he will surround himself with portals. This is the moment when you can get an achievement, and the ability looks like this.

To get the achievement, you need to destroy his shield at this moment (lower the defense strength bar to zero). We do it in the following way. First, we activate the so-called Akashic terminals, which are located in the arena with the boss. Terminals act in two ways: autonomous (not dependent on the player and attack the enemy in autonomous mode) and aimed shot (T + elemental skill to attack for the hero). To get the achievement, you can use the tactics below:

1. We start a boss fight and lower the boss's health until the second phase of the fight begins;
2. In advance, we gain the energy of the terminal and with an aimed shot (T + elemental skill) we take down the shield of the enemy;
3. Again, we accumulate the energy of the terminal as quickly as possible, but we do not make the second aimed shot, we wait until the boss uses the ability we need and surrounds himself with portals (as in the screenshot above);
4. Again we make an aimed shot.

There may be situations where, due to the automatic firing of the terminal, the boss loses his health and shield too quickly. In this case, it's best not to use Aimed Shot at all until the boss surrounds himself with portals.
